Heather Roma is an all-in-one coach, cheerleader, and fan of screenplay writers. Her driving belief is that everyone has a story to tell, and the world needs yours! As a writer herself, Heather knows the struggles of creating time and space in life for writing on a regular basis. With this in mind, she created Turning Scenes Writers Realm, a Facebook group that focuses specifically on supporting screenplay writers. Heather’s desire for this group is to hold regular virtual writing sessions, to hone the craft of screenplay writing by having regular conversations about what a reader for festivals and producers looks for, to read and break down professional scripts together, and to promote healthy writing practices. She is building a tribe of close-knit screenplay writers who inspire each other, with the ultimate goal of bringing amazing screenplays into the world. Turning Scenes was founded by Heather Roma in 2019 after she completed the Hollywood Screenreaders certification program. Heather has accumulated several years of experience as reader for the Austin Film Festival, the Atlanta Film Festival, and for Coverfly. Heather also offers coverage services and coaching services that help turn screenplay drafts into screenplay gems.
